Starkville Rolls Out the Welcome Mat
By Paul Myerberg // Sep 8, 2010
File this under the growing category of “Fake News.” As passed along by Kyle Veazey, the Mississippi State beat reporter for The Clarion-Ledger, one Starkville business has a few words of wisdom for its customers as the city prepares for Auburn’s arrival on Thursday night:

I see what you did there, Strange Brew Coffeehouse. Or is Cold Stone Creamery behind this clever play on a recent Internet phenomenon? The sign, if the type is too small resized, says:
Cam’s on the way
Hide ya kids
Hide ya wife
Strange Brew Coffeehouse 1, Auburn 0. The ball’s in your court, Toomer’s Coffee Roasters.

And I hate to say it, but Miss. St. will be needing to hide from a lot of players this season.
Paul: You came off a bit like Casey Kasem at the beginning there.
I strongly disagree, I think Mississippi State is going to be second or third in the West this year. Dan Mullen has his act together, and with an Auburn team that gave up 26 early to Arky State, I look for MSU to do some scoring. Also, Auburn had Cam in for most of the game, and only put 55 on the board, seems like mop up duty should have gotten the barn to 55.
