It would be great to see an addendum to this preview now that Jeremiah Masoli has joined the Rebels ...

Paul: I did a short piece titled "Reconsidering the Rebels" the day the news broke that Masoli was a near-lock for Ole Miss. It doesn't really address where I'd put the Rebels in a re-ranking scenario, but it does note how his arrival changes the position from a question mark to one of strength.

sorry, I can't stop rolling on the floor laughing at this ranking.

Here's what we know about TSUN:
-Young QB
-Good RB's
-Young OL
-Good front 7 on D
-Easy out of conference schedule, easiest in the nation, the last 3 years to be honest.
-Season comes down to how TSUN does vs Frez St & MSU, because after a VERY easy start, REALITY kicks in.

UM wins 7 games, not the 41st best team in the nation

The other four schools to finish in the top 20 in INTs thrown and top 35 in rushing offense are Iowa State, Mississippi State, North Texas, and Louisiana-Monroe.

Paul: Mark, I was so sure that no one was even going to try to answer this question that I gave the preview away via Twitter. Still, since you stepped up, you deserve your own chance. So list your team below. And remember that whomever you choose can't be too far away.

Nikka - I said Ole Miss might hold State off this year as the top program in Mississippi but if Mullen sticks around, then the Rebs are about to be replaced. I never said Nutt had been out recruited - but since you brought it up - I happen to think it is about even this year which is rather surprising when you consider Ole Miss is coming off of consecutive Cotton Bowl wins and State is coming off a 5-7 season, is two years removed from getting its tail handed to it by La. Tech, and has not won an SEC championship since Pearl Harbor. On the seven recruits, if we are talking about Maiden, Morrow, Arrington, Robinson, Prescott, Cox and Knox - ESPN indicate 6 of the 7 had D1 offers and the first three had offers from Bama. The first four also had offers from Ole Miss per ESPN. All of which brings me back to my point - something is up in Starkville.

Burnt Orange you're dead wrong Nutt has definitely outrecruited State... look at our commitment list and the offers they have 4 of the 7 players that just committed to State don't have any D1 offers, not even Southern Miss has offered them.

Top three is acceptable, but no way are Vandy or Tennessee Coeds better-looking than Florida Coeds. Please re-rank.

I was looking forward to seeing Ole Miss in Atlanta this year and making the trip to experience the Grove next year. I'm disappointed that they chose to postpone the series.

Ole Miss might hold off Miss. State this year but if Mullen stays at State, the Rebs are soon to be replaced as the top program in Mississippi. I know it is July and who knows if these kids will make their grades but take a look at the State early commitments announced this weekend. Pretty impressive.

Paul: I've been following Mississippi State's recruiting weekend. They're killing it right now. State has out-recruited Ole Miss since Mullen arrived, to be honest. Check out Kyle Veazey's blog at The Jackson Clarion Ledger to keep track.
